Become a volunteer

Since its inception, the Hortus Bulborum has functioned by the grace of volunteers. Each year, the board continues to look for people who would like to assist with all kinds of chores and hands on activities for a few days or parts of the day each season, sometimes before or after the opening season. This can range from potting bulbs in the winter (for in-season sales), manning the entrance house and making flower bouquets to decorate the bulb barn at an occasional gathering. In addition, you can sign up as a guide to show groups around in English, French and or German. Guides who speak other languages are, of course, also welcome.
