Take the A9 towards Alkmaar until exit Castricum-Uitgeest-Zaandam. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right toward Uitgeest. Leave Uitgeest on the right and continue on N 203 toward Castricum. Go straight ahead at the first traffic lights, and after the Limmen built-up area sign, enter the second road on your right. A sign points the way. On the left side of the State Road, you will find Restaurant “Bistro Limmen” at that point. Park your car in the small parking lot between the white association building “Our House” and the church, or along the road.
Take the southern ring road west, turn left at the first traffic lights after Kooimeerplein towards Heiloo. Drive south on N 203. After several traffic lights and traffic circles, you will come to the Rijksweg in Limmen. Follow this until you have passed a traffic light and you see Restaurant Bistro Limmen on your right. Here turn left onto Zuidkerkenlaan. Park your car in the parking lot between the white association building “Our House” and the church, or along the road.
Parking around and near the Hortus Bulborum is completely free. Ample parking is available at the entrance, in front of the historic PKN Church. There is also ample parking at the museum “The Old School” on School Avenue. (Also space for parking buses).
Of course, you can also get to us by public transportation.
If you come by train, get off at the station “Castricum”. Then take the bus Line 167 towards Alkmaar. Get off in Limmen, stop: “Limmerbuurt”. Then walk about 100 mtr. south and follow the signs for “Hortus Bulborum.” The walking distance is about 400 meters.

The bus still comes to Limmen only once an hour.

Unfortunately, the museum garden of the Hortus Bulborum is less suitable for wheelchair users. However, we do have a so-called Beach wheelchair available. This allows one to view the museum garden quite well. You can also use the main paths just fine with a walker, however, the narrow paths between the bulbs are not suitable for this.
